20 Dec Kevin Made His Family Disappear… for Google!
Kevin made his family disappear… again!
Ok… ok, not EXACTLY like that again… Let us explain!
Great timing by the folks over at Google, they reached out to Macaulay Culkin to have him redo his famous role yet again for their new holiday short Home Alone Again with the Google Assistant.
Adult “Kevin” now is his late 30’s, finds himself in a very similar situation… but this time he has a digital friend (cough) Google Assistant (clear my throat) to help him along the way.
The funny clip shows Kevin interacting with Google Assistant by adding aftershave to the shopping list, setting a reminder to wash the sheets and video chatting with the pizza delivery boy! They even pair up to execute “Operation Kevin” when Google locks the front door and turning on the lights to prevent the “Wet Bandits” from ruining the holiday.
For a limited time, users can relive some of the 1990 comedy’s most iconic moments. Simply say, ‘Hey, Google…”:
“How much do I owe you?” (You’ll be reminded to “Keep the change, you filthy animal”)
“Did I forget something?” (The “KEVINNNNNNNNNN” scream will play back)
“It’s me, Snakes. I got the stuff” (Recreate the back-and-forth dialogue from Angels With Filthy Souls)
“The Wet Bandits are here” (Trigger Kevin defending his house)
“I’m the man of the house” (Emulate the famous scene when Kevin tries aftershave)
Check out a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Home Alone Again with the Google Assistant.”
“They did a very good job on the set decoration, the props, and all the shots were spot on,” Culkin said of the throwback film. “I am thinking and hoping that people will really dig it.”
